Ganesh Chaturthi: So this festival Ganesh Utsav started during Pesewas period. But it was made publically by ‘Bal Gangadhar Tilak.’
‘Bal Gangadhar Tilak’ means Lokmanya Tilak. ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ conferred the title of Lokmanya on Keshav Gangadhar Tilak.
Lokmanya means “personality accepted by the people.”
The aim is to make Ganesh Utsav Publically
Born on 23rd July 1856 in Chikhali village in Ratnagiri district of Konkan province.
‘Bal Gangadhar Tilak’ brought God out of the house so that people could forget all caste differences and come together and participate in the movement for an independent India.
But at that time (ie in the 1890s) there were many obstacles in his movement but Tilak remained steadfast in his decision.
But today, their movement has taken a different turn and we are all seeing it now.

Ganesh Chaturthi: is the only festival that is celebrated from house to house in Maharashtra,
But it also builds confidence and curiosity among young people.

And also all come together, ignoring the thoughts of some intellectuals who want to create such feelings of casteism, religion and Discrimination.
The principle of “HUM SAB EK HAI” is put forward by the whole country in this festival in India.

This festival is celebrated in a very big way in Maharashtra.
It is celebrated not only in Maharashtra but in different parts of the country.
It is especially celebrated in the Konkan region of Maharashtra as well as in Pune and Mumbai.
Bappas used to arrive not only at home but also in Outside the house, Ganpati Bappa is enthroned in a glittering pavilion made by the public.
People all over India are eagerly waiting for Diwali and Dussehra.
Similarly, Ganesh Utsav is eagerly awaited all over Maharashtra from the youngest to the oldest.
As Ganpati Bappa is coming, before 5-10 days, everyone starts getting ready. Someone decorates their house while public circles decorate their respective circles.
They entertain the eyes with different cultural and social events of different circles,
They make colourful scenes and many more things that make the devotees devotional and peaceful environment
